this should be an excellent lens, as it's just a rebrand of the D FA 100/2.8 Macro....
I was about to go looking to see what that lens was and reviews of it since I'd not ever heard of it before. Of course you would know so thanks muchly sir for saving me the time.
You've got quite the collection of unusual glass going BTW. Did you get that Nikcor adapter yet?

you're welcome....

no adapter needed... the K-S1 has a modified mount that accepts Nikon F-mount lenses...

now if USPS would deliver the lens, I would be pretty happy with that, too....

Happy day for me. Finally found a laser printer to print shipping labels.
Kelly offered the printer for any offer because there were no cables to connect the printer.
I had some cables lying about. Within 10 minutes the Samsung printer started whirring to deliver the first print.
Not a bad deal for only 10 euro.

Your K-S1 or all K-S1? That is a really interesting option.

A Holga 120 camera starter kit - doesn't appear to have ever been used, even has the film and batteries - for £20
and a Chinon 55/1.7 (M42) with a Helios 3x converter for a fiver - unfortunately the lens isn't stopping down, but it should still make a reasonable profit.

And bought a couple more job lots on eBay, fairly cheap so not too much of a risk

For £23 inc. P&P I'm getting
Pentacon 50mm f1.8 42mm screw thread
Photax - Paragon 200mm f3.5 42mm screw thread
RMC Tokina 80-200mm f4.5 OM fit

For £10.01 inc P&P I'm getting a grab-bag of photo stuff that includes a Prakticar PB 50mm 2.4 pancake lens, an exposure meter, two flashes, a set of M42 tubes and a flash slave.

Condition looks OK for both lots, but of course there could be all sorts of problems - that's always the risk with job lots.

My latest is a large Paterson tank that'll take five rolls of 135 or three of 120, which is helping me get through my serious B&W developing backlog. Last week I developed eleven rolls in one day, which must be a personal best, though it was only three batches. I'm mixing and matching films that have similar development times and hope to get through some more next week. Up until now I've bought and shot rolls of B&W in pairs to fill the two-reel tanks that I've had. Now I'll have to do it in groups of five to maximise efficiency.

Got a Nikkor AF-S 3.5-5.6/18-55 G DX for £15 - in perfect condition too - VERY pleased. I think it's in slightly better condition than the one I have, so I'll probably keep it and sell my old one on.

Like new Mamiya 500mm f 8.0 reflex/mirror lens

This bad boy came in today for only $255 plus freight & tax looking like it had never been used before. I have never used a mirror lens before, so I will have a learning curve. Meanwhile here are a few first snaps. This is the Mamiya 645 C 500mm f 8.0 medium format lens, and is usable on the K-1 but not the Pentax 645 mount because of incompatible registry distances.

Fought long time against it but a special offer for an as new soft box for my strobes helped to take the step to a professional soft box.
I tried quite long to use indirect light from the strobes but must admit this soft box takes away the flare I had on shots from semi gloss older lenses.
Swiss made Elinchrom strobes with a 2 feet square soft box is all I need.

I live in an old brownstone with high ceilings. They certainly help with lighting from the top.
Wish I made the decision to get a soft box much earlier.

just got a National Geographic Rocky Mountain National Park Trails Illustrated Topographic Map and Passes to enter Rocky Mountain National Park -

well due to the virus and my decision not to fly [ plus MLB cancellation of ballgames ]

we cancelled our vacations to Yellowstone and San Francisco this year

yet the wife's employer said " use it or lose it " about her vacation time

she didn't want to drive to Yellowstone from Topeka so we are driving to Estes Park Co and the Rocky Mountain National Park instead

just made our reservations to be allowed into the RMNP for each day: 9/10, 9/11, 9/12, 9/13, and 9/14

QuoteQuote:
Entrance Pass and Timed Entry Permit Required for Entry
Both an entrance pass and timed entry permit are required to enter ALL areas of Rocky Mountain National Park—including Trail Ridge Road (US Hwy 34)—when arriving by vehicle between the hours of 6 am and 5 pm whether a visitor parks within the park or outside the park boundary. This includes but is not exclusive to Lumpy Ridge, Lily Lake, Longs Peak, Wild Basin, East Inlet, and North Inlet.
Fees & Passes - Rocky Mountain National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

won't expect to see any bison or grizzly but hopefully elk, mule deer, big horn sheep, rocky mountain sheep and more
