In other news, I'll probably be doing the wrong thing and de-acquiring some lenses soon. I've too many that I'm not using at present, and I have my eye on a native-mount, 3rd-party, manual-focus lens for my Sony body... naughty, right? SWMBO approves.

they always approve of the de-acquisitioning of things.....

Most recent comment in my household, is definitely not pushing de-acquisition.

" I am happy with whatever you want to do with your cameras, but you need to get more organised. Do you want to buy a display cabinet, or throw out some of my clothes to give you more space?"

Actually no sarcasm. more long the lines of "you need a cheap hobby when you retire".

Tim's right, a "keeper" for sure.

...and I'm glad you do! (Gazing with affection at my recent XR Rikenon 35/2.8 acquisition, previously a resident of pepperberry's shelf.)

Fab! I’ll be honest, as much as I’m sure mine would like to see some shelf space freed up, she actually doesn’t care whether I blow my cash on lenses, as long as I can afford bills and can account for minor unforeseen expenses.

About a year ago I started noticing excessive head sag with a few of my heavier lenses and started having fantasies of a head that would not sag. When given a modest check from the government intended to stimulate the economy, I decided that the good folk at Acratech in California deserved a little stimulus. Mission accomplished...

I recently got a Kenko MC7 2x teleconverter and a Kenko Pro 3x TC. I quickly tested them both and the 2x looks like it will be resold. I'll be keeping the 3x.
