Just bought:
Metz 52 af-1 and Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6

Should arrive this Thursday.
👍
I really like the more neutral color of light output by Metz 50 series flash units. I have a 50 AF-1 and 58 AF-2. Sold my Pentax pair after getting the 58 AF-2. The Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6 is a very good lens too. I need to use mine more!

Scored an "Open Box" K-70 with 300 clicks, all original packaging and accessories with a blank US warranty for under $500 including shipping and PA six percent tax on everything.
I have wanted another body with a tilt and swing screen ever since I sold my Ks-2 two years ago. I've bought two used ks-2s and had to return both due to defects.
The K-70 finally arrived today. UPS delay in Texas due to weather. Camera is exactly as listed. I ran a shutter count and found the build date was November 2020. It will make a good companion to my KP.

I have read where the later ones have a good solenoid so 2020 build is brilliant and is fresh from the factory. Happy days

I won a Fuji XC 16-50mm for my X-E1. I don't have any Fuji AF lenses so it will be a nice addition for my bit of fun mirror less. One mounting lug is missing and there is a tiny ding in the edge of the front element but the seller assures me it works fine so I took a punt at £42

Just 10ish euro's because the seller thought it was defective. I guess he just didn't understand how the auto-aperture worked (And I have run out of m42 caps again....) Including domestic and international shipping it was 30 euro's. Aperture is just a bit slow due to oil. Inconsequential on digital.

Now that the GFX 100s has been announced and used prices are dropping on measly 50MP medium format gear, I'm buying the dip on Pentax 645. Picked up a lightly used (<7k shutter) 645Z and a suite of lenses (FA 35, 75, 120, 150, 45-85, 80-160, and DFA 55) for about the price of a new GFX 50s

So, the price of 44 dollars shipped for a BG-5 in excellent condition, seemed like a good enough reason to finally try out a battery grip for the first time in my life... hopefully I'll like it.

I do, quite a lot. But I'm a bit concerned about the weight of it...

On the positive site, if I leave a charged battery in the camera and set to use the power from the grip first, and always have the grip on, I should not have to reset the date/time every time I change a battery...

I was concerned about weight, also... so I don't use a battery in the body, only in the grip...

I have never owned a camera which had a proper grip/motordrive capability, which did not feel nicer in the hand when the grip was attached. The most transformative being my Nikon F3. However, I never did own one which was not seriously compromised on weight by attaching its grip. The most compromised being the Nikon F3!
My Pentax K3 and KP, and also Fuji X-T1 all are better IMO for having a grip on them.

I agree, in digital I have had battery grips on K10 and K7, XT1, XH1, and grips with arca plates on Xpro1 Xpro2 XE3 and GFX - all benefitted from the addition though i don't always take the battery grip if i am using a lighter lens (the other grips are on all the time)

I bought my K10D in a package with *16-50, *50-125 and grip. I later bought a DA 12-24 and DA55-300. I already owned an M400/5.6, an AFA 1.7x and a Takumer 55/1.8.

I have even hand held the M400+1.7x (briefly; I am 80). I find the rig is much better balanced with the grip and the grip controls are handy when shooting verticals. The slight extra weight added to the combination I really don't notice; although everyone else comments.

I put this rather experienced A series 24-50/4 on my eBay watch list. Mangled filter ring and some internal dust. $49 with free shipping. Received an offer from the seller of $39. With tax $42. Why not. I have the tool to massage that nasty ring.

Recently bought a watch movement, some hands, a case, a dial, and a strap. I'm going to be putting together my own chronograph watch.

Wow, how many times was that thing dropped? And the glass still looks good...
