I was concerned about weight, also... so I don't use a battery in the body, only in the grip...
I very, very rarely use a battery in both camera body and grip. The weight of the grip itself isn't much - it's just an empty plastic shell really.

Wow, how many times was that thing dropped? And the glass still looks good...
Seller said it was his “go to” lens on hikes and adventures. “Zoom, focus and aperture are super smooth. Some dust and maybe a little haze which hasn’t impacted image quality. Cannot mount a filter or front lens cap.” Hey, for under $50, I figured why not.

Looks like the later pancake version...

Chris
I have that lens. Got it when I got a Ricoh XRM many years ago. It is a very good lens. And like you said, almost a pancake lens on a K1.

Well, through the way of twitter, I aquired a free 400' roll of Kodak Vision3 50D from a photographer that was emptying out his freezer. Truthfully, I didnt expect it to be a 400' roll, thought it was going to be a 100' roll.

Received the correct battery for my laptop - slightly more expensive than the first one I got, which is annoying - and a little job lot of Pentax 110 gear - a working camera and 24mm lens in very nice condition, a 14mm lens with very slight fungus, and a flash that's full of corrosion and unusable. Cost £25 but my aim here is to have a good play with them on micro 4/3 and possibly keep one lens and sell the rest on.

Also got my covid innoculation - so far without any horrible side effects.

Yeah, he had a few other types of film in his freezer he was letting go of too (250D, 500T, & a few others).

At first I was hesitant cuz I wasnt sure what I'd do with another large roll of film (little room to store used developer since I already have a few gallons of used developer I have to get rid of), and I didnt want to just have it in the freezer cuz if I ever get "stuck in a rut" photography wise, but I figured I'd find something to do with it. By the time I hit him up about it he only had the 50D left so I took it, & threw it in the freezer the day I got it.

A big lens to go with my small DSLR!

Even though the combo is heavy, it feels very balanced. I like how the lens body matches the K-mount mirror box portion of the KP's body.

My £42 Fuji 16-50mm lens arrived today. It all works perfectly and is surprisingly good for a first gen mirrorless and a plastic kit lens

Don’t you need to use the largest grip attachment? Or even better a battery grip?

I did put the large grip on, it definitely helps provide a point of control over the mass with the right hand. But I could use it two-handed with the small grip without discomfort. The way I'm approaching this camera is that it belongs on a strap over my shoulder, not carried in hand. I've used compact and mirrorless cameras way too long to consider handholding this beast for extended times.
