Very cool! Former owners seem to have a strong soft spot for that camera. You should have no difficulty on the resale.

I am disappointed there are no photos of the pair.

Steve
that's because they have yet to arrive from Nagoya, Japan...

next week....

The two soft shutter releases were delivered today. It fits very perfectly snug on my Sears TLS, and on my Kalimar K90 it fits ok but its a bit fiddley (if the screw was a smidge thicker it would fit better on the Kali)

The TLS looks like a giant next to the K90! Strange reverse direction shutter speed dial.

A new Right Knee joint about 2hrs ago - still can't feel anything, but I'll probably regret saying that when the anesthetic wears off!
10 days later, now able to CAREFULLY walk around the house and up/down the stairs - without a crutch or even a walking stick, although I will almost certainly have to use one or the other when outdoors

BTW: the surgeon who did the operation was recommended to me by several friends as being one of the very best - before the op, he told me that I would be cursing him for at least 2 weeks afterwards, but I now most certainly will not as there is very little pain (still on painkillers though)

OK, I had to pay for the op and 3 night hospital stay, but the realistic prospect of having to wait at least 2 yrs for a NHS operation as a result of the pandemic was the "final straw that broke the camel's back" in that respect.

Yeah, as the kids would say nowadays the TLS is a "thicc" "beefy" "chonky" boi (as I'm sure alot of 60's slr's are) 😂😂
In a pinch, the TLS also doubles as a "takes a lickin' & keeps on tickin'" self-defense weapon, and the K90 ehh... maybe not as much 😂

One of these for Canon EF

Tamron 278D AF 80-210mm 1:4.5-5.6 Lens Reviews - Tamron Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

Got it on eBay for £7.77 plus P&P, which reflects how low prices are at the moment - I think it's a combination of the economy being a mess, postal prices rising sharply so that there are fewer overseas bidders, and other factors.

Nikon F2 body w/DE-1 finder (plain prism)

Price $400 shipped from an eBay seller in Japan.
All of the nice Nikon F2 bodies seem to be in Japan.

I now have three Nikon F2 bodies; all chrome.
The others have DP-1 and DP-3 Photomic (metered) finders.

For Cdn$706, New front brake rotors and pads, Rear drums machined. It's nice to stop without the Tundra feeling like it's on washboard roads.

3rd party 70-something to 200-something zooms in particular fetch very little because there are so many of them for sale. Back in the 80's film era, they were the first additional lens everyone bought after the 50mm kit lens. Those buyers are now passing and these things are coming out of their attics and put on Ebay. Funny, those 50mm primes are now worth much more.

I have given up trying to sell a good Sigma zoom of that ilk. If I sold something for £7 it would not even pay for my fuel to the post office (I live rurally and quite a distance from one) and the nearby car parking fee. I sell at £10 minimum or it might as well go in the dustbin recycling. Actually I don't have the heart for that, my kids will just have to do it one day.

Two more Olympus lenses. These are big enough to need a packet of AusMUs to demonstrate. Demo pic taken with a Konica Hexanon 28mm f3.5.

OM 200mm f4 and OM 300mm f4.5. Both are really sharp on my first tests, attached to Sony A7ii in full frame mode. This was an impulse buy, saw them offered by a local seller at a really good price and they are extremely clear optically - no haze or anything.

"Yeah nah, she's the full pack o' Tim Tams."
"Serious?"
"True life, mate."
