every so often I look at the sites for a pentax 645 macro bellows unit. Seems they are rare to find. Someone in the UK had a few brand new ones for sale a few years ago, about $400-500 CDN. Then they were gone. Otherwise they do not show up very often and usually not complete or for the 67 model. Then I was looking at KEH one day...one for sale that is like brand new and about $175 US! And it was just before the holidays, so how can one deny themselves a gift that is shouting at you.."buy me"! Box came and item exactly as described by KEH.

I received my Pentax FA85 Soft today from Japan, much sooner than I expected. Exactly as described, and I'm spending the weekend with it nailed to my K1 to speed up understanding what it does and when/where to use it.

I purchased an Asus ROG G10CE gaming desktop from Sam's Club. I do not game much, but I got it because the graphics card will fully support Lightroom and Photoshop.

Specs:

Intel Core i5-11400F
16GB DDR4 RAM
512GB PCIe SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti 6GB

I added an external 2TB hard drive (Dropbox sync storage - all photos) and another external 512GB SSD (general image storage).

The only thing I might do is replace the rear internal fan, which is quite buzzy.

Its an older design but highly regarded, no OIS,so the XH1 would be the body to use.

its actually been superceeded by the 33mmf1.4 which is stabilised and has WR.

I'm waiting for a bargain copy to come along even though I own the 35F2.

Looking forward to the images Mr Pepper.

thank you - with the fast aperture and shorter focal length, it should work well on my X-T2, also...

Not good news... Mice. I thought I'd heard them, and I've been trying to clear out anywhere they might be hiding, Just saw one but of course not when I was in a position to catch it. So tomorrow I will have to go buy some traps etc.

55/2.8 Micro-Nikkor lens w/PK-13 auto-extension ring

$85 shipped from an APUG member classified ad

I bought one a couple months ago but had to return it.
Focusing helical was very stiff and would not reach infinity,
a common problem with this model.

I had been thinking of showing what Father Xmas brought me, so prompted by your post I have. Mine is said to be a rat trap, it's quite big. I've been fighting mice for several years using mechanical traps (and I've got quite good at it by now*), but the electronic trap is quicker to set up and does not go off with temperature changes etc. They are supposed to be more humaine too. It has caught three mice so far. This is the best picture I can find, from the USA, but they are available in the UK and anywhere else I suppose. On the expensive side though.

* Mechanical traps - go for all-metal ones with a wide "pedal", file the end of the trigger wire dead square and bend it to exactly right-angles to the hole it fits in, set with zero overlap (ie hair-triggered), nail it to a heavy block of wood, and bait with Nutella.
