The Photocross 15 bag that I ordered arrived! Still working out what goes where, but it looks like it’ll hold everything (including the 150-450 with the teleconverter attached), and is quit a bit smaller than the backlight pack I got originally.
Nothing wrong with the backlight, it was just too big (for me) on regular hikes, and the rear access didn’t lend itself to quick changes. It’s more of a transport truck when most days I need a pickup.

Rokinon 16mm f2.0

Just got a Rokinon 16mm f2.0. Got a good deal $287 at a black Friday sale. I've rarely seen it below $399 anytime, anywhere.

I've been wanting to try some starscapes/landscapes in the low desert this spring. This lens along with the Samyang 10 should work well on my K33. The Samyang 14, 20, and the Irix Blackstone 11 should do fine on the K12. I hope this is not a waste, as I have the DA15.

Be careful to ensure it doesn’t slobber on you dinner.

I would never have known that the Godox AD200 existed if it was not for this fine website. Now I find myself needing wanting one.

one M42 to F-mount adapter, which is supposed to provide infinity focus without additional optics....

This is for the Fujifilm S5, e.g a pretty standard Nikon mount? I do hope you got a guarantee on the adapter... Nikon's Flange Focal Distance is more that a millimeter more than M42, so it shouldn't be possible.... but you know that, of course. But it should be OK for most lenses at portrait distances if the metal of the adapter is thin.

hmm... looks like it may be going back to B&H - I'll evaluate it first, then decide.....

mighty small print in their ad....

Very good lens!
I had one for several years and found it 100% satisfactory. BTW: It was unsold old stock which at the time I thought I got at a bargain price.

I've had one for quite a while. Powerful and flexible; battery provides abundant full-power pops and holds a charge for a very long time. Don't get overwhelmed by the accessories, some are useful, others not so much.

yeah - I got a bit excited here and overstepped sanity...

I'll test it out and if it's awful, it'll go back ...

I really like mine. Combined with the XPro wireless transmitter it's a really nice expandable system!
Also if you get a different camera you can just get the transmitter for that system and still use the same flash. Very flexible.
