A Lighting Technique

For those of you wishing to experiment, here is one of my lighting techniques...

Just to make sure I copied it to a file and will use it as soon as I can get a model. (You wouldn't have any laying around would you)? It's a great thing to share this info Ben and I really do appreciate the time it took you to show us.

So the panels are just to stop direct lighting on the lens?

Yup..I want the light to hit the back and sides of the model at about 2 stops more than the main light. But I often want stray light to come in for an effect and will remove the panels...

I'm saving this as well Ben. Thanks for sharing the great info. Maybe I'll have to find my way to Paris someday and be your 'intern' for a few days! Lol I'm sure it would be a big learning experience.

So it looks like the stray light from behind is to reduce shadow areas around the side and back of the legs/shoulder/hair etc.

You are sort of right. In fact I want to highlight the outline of the models body.
