Sometimes limiting, sometimes liberating. It depends on what you are doing. Sure it can be a little tricky outdoors with the sun at certain angles - but the same can be true even for a viewfinder. You adapt.

Before the K-01, I had noticed that most of my shots were from my-eye-view, and I only used LiveView when forced to. WIth the K-01, I'm much more likely to try different angles: waist-high, knee-high, arm's-length-over-my-head, and when I switch back to a DSLR, I use LiveView a lot more.

A friend who owned K-01 was kind enough to let me play with it for a week. The video features absolutely sold me! I recently retired from being a wedding videographer. My cameras were worn out and since I didn't want to invest $8K+ in new gear, leaving the world of weddings made sense. The K-01 will allow me to continue making short videos.

I bought the K-01 after falling in love with the sensor in the GR, now have a K-30 as well. I love the easily switchable focus peaking and zooming in live view for manual focus work, only wish it had a viewfinder option as the screen is quite hard to see in sunlight. Love the shutter sound and overall beefy feel of the camera.

I am a recent owner of a beautiful stormtrooper K-01 from another forum member here and I love it! So far after just one day of shooting with it( DA 40mm limited 2.8 ) it is a simple but yet elegant camera to operate.

OK now for my reasons for purchasing it.....

Only one in terms of getting a mirrorless ......

Size/Design: I know now that it is not that much smaller than other Pentax DSLR's but nonetheless the size/design appealed to me. I currently own D800's and they are monsters to carry around all day. I wanted an everyday camera that wouldn't put a strain on my back and my wallet. It's shape and size made me think that I could fit it in comfortably in a very specific camera bag I own( I carry basically it with a Hasselblad 201f ). And in truth, this works for me as an everyday carry all kit.
