panoramic poser

one of the real photographic plus points within the internal workings of many modern cameras is the ability to take 'stitched' (in camera) panoramic photos. am wondering why this has not found its way into pentax cameras?

It has been available in the point and shoots for a while.

I don't recall seeing it on DSLRs. I know there are programs which will stitch images together. I wonder if it's a function of being able to use wildly different lenses that keeps it from being a DSLR feature?

Sony dSLRs have this capability I believe. It would be a nice feature, especially on a fun camera like the Q.

it's perhaps through 'purist' values that it has not become commonplace on pentax. I had a sony a65 with it and whilst welcome/good (in a gimmicky creative way) it was never a necessity. having recently entered into the pentax world of cameras and discovered (lens permitting) the impressive quality of its k series is that (picture quality) that has become an overriding necessity
