Appreciate the K-S1 for what it is.

Continue to use my K-01 and K-3 and buy lenses.
I too, picked "ignore" though the above more accurately sums up my position.

Many of the requested features for the K-01 look as if they are simply firmware changes. It would be beaut for (all) the camera companies to "open source" the firmware on cameras where updates have ceased.

Dunno why it'd matter. I just recently got my k-01 as it is (at a very reasonable price!) so I don't think this is going anywhere for quite a while

The K-01 is an exellent camera and the design grows on you (though I do with it had more of a grip!)

While I really liked my white K-01, the lack of VF was enough for me to let it go and pre-order the K-s1. The size change will remind me of another old favorite the k-x, but with features closer to K-3 except for WR and extra battery life. Like the K-01 the grip on the K-s1 is friendlier to smaller / prime lenses, which is my preferred way to play now - so in that way this comparison survey is reasonable.

I've been warming to the K-S1 recently. I wasn't one of the folks who panned it when it was announced, but I didn't think it was a camera I wanted. Now I'm more intrigued by it...

You should have a "Get a K-3" option in there. If, as I suspect, the K-S1 supports neither multi-exposure nor interval shooting, then I'll likely pass. What would then be my next body? Not sure, but I'm currently thinking of giving the K-3 a try, and only after that decide if I stay or switch to another manufacturer's mirrorless. The K-3 is expensive and heavy (compared to the K-01), but I'm really loving the k-mount experience so far, and it's an incredibly capable camera by all accounts, so maybe I should give the "full DSLR" experience a try...

In the near future, absolutely nothing. The K-01 is the single best camera purchase I have made. If/when the K-S1 reaches the price point of the K-01 just before it was discontinued I might give it a second thought, but the feature set and "ergonomics" (the unnecessary LEDs on front) are not geared toward a photographer like me. However, if Pentax were to go Fuji like with a concept similar to the XT1, I would be all over it.

I think the question is.. is there a yellow K-S1?
I would be interested to see some photos of the K-S1 lined up with K-01 (and K-x!) for size comparisons. If I get a DSLR very close to the size of K-01, I would be interested.

Well after a few weeks thinking about it and I now have both. I was enjoying using the K-01, having not had a dslr before only compact digital. I got tempted and love the K-S1. I've mostly used it indoors on a tripod and with speed lights.

Agreed. I bought one for my son for a HS photography class. This was when the price bottomed out when it was clear that it's future wasn't bright. It takes fantastic pictures. I sometimes like to use it instead of my K-X.

Does the Lime Pie K-S1 count? If not, then I think the answer is "not yet".

Wonderful, great photos! I am surprised by how "big" the K-x looks next to these two, and the K-x is one of the smallest DSLRs!

And that K-x is good-lookin' too.
