Anybody waiting for Pentax's APSC of GH4 equivalent?

A6000 equivalent will do too! Merry Xmas everyone!

If you mean amazing video specs, I am not waiting. Pentax has made pretty clear in interviews that it does not feel it needs to compete in video specs, Pentax is a still-image brand and proud of it. Perhaps with on-sensor PDAF they will add autofocus to video, but it's just not a priority.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all ... a happy season that lasts all year!

why wait for anything, instead use what is available now, if they reckon the grass is greener over the fence, maybe go try it out, but they’ll be back

Just buy the GH4 ... the m43 stills won't compare to your Pentax but video's its strength.

I don't buy it. They are business people and need to compete in the market and stay in business, they know this and have been trying hard. Remember that they were almost the first DLSR maker to introduce video with the K-7 just a shade after the D90.. Now their video features are weaker than Panasonic, Sony or Canon who caught on and exceeded quickly because unlike those other companies Pentax don't have a history of developing and manufacturing video cameras/camcorders. Panasonic, Sony etc are very strong in their DLSM video cameras because they have years of video experience to draw from. Canon have pulled back a little so as not to hurt their pro video camera series and Nikon just have the huge Mitsubishi group behind them.
I think Pentax are close, they just need a bit more time and to fix a couple of bad decisions which have hurt them in this regard..

Yes, I'm waiting for Pentax to introduce an APSC mirroless camera along the lines of the A6000. My collection of compact Pentax lens's would be a great fit on a camera like that.

Ricoh has a patent for a translucent mirror, deposed in 2013, which can be useful especially for video. So, I wouldn't be so sure that in the near future we will not have the surprise of a new camera, more video oriented.

I should wait.

Sometimes it's about survival. Ignoring the wind of change could mean belly up. There is a niche for ruggedized APSC mirrorless capable of stills and videos.

My collection is a good fit on the A6000 right now--if I take the time to manually focus. My 35+ year old M50/1.4 is seeing more use on the A6000 than It ever did on my DSLR bodies.
