Why do people keep saying there's no wired remote plug in this camera? The wired remote symbol was clearly visible on the door in early leaked photos.
I was wondering the same thing

It's Four Stops according to John Carlson, not three

Now corrected on website to four stops.

"I was just verifying the SR before I saw this question. It is 4 stops just like our other cameras with this system. Our product manager pulled the 3 stop spec from an old K-30 presentation from several months ago." Can be assigned to Green button just like the K-r, brother. No dedicated DoF preview button near the switch (K-5/K-7)

The graph shows the K-01 gradually gains ground up to ISO 1600, where it is half a stop lower than the K-5 (9.88 vs. 10.35 Ev). At ISO 3200 and beyond, where Pentax adds non-defeatable noise reduction, the K-01 and K-5 DR are equal, but the K-5 has a slightly higher signal-to-noise ratio.
It seems the 2-bit difference is most visible at low ISO. I'll look at landscape comparison shots for a while. Hopefully there's a test somewhere. Thanks!

The Pentax hand strap is not just for the K-30, it fits all Pentax DSLR's. Here it is on the Pentax site but it's available for sale all over the world, just Google it.
I hope Pentax beefs up that department too. Accessories should be stocked up in all Pentax-carrying stores, I believe. Those accessories help keep the market loyal to the brand (especially for new users like me, who want to familiarize and be identified with the brand).

I'm curious about the "Pentax Hand Strap" which photographyblog.com mentions as an optional accessory. Can any pictures be provided on this?
Might be Japan-only, like the K-01 hand strap and the K-01 fitting case in the User Manual.

Hello fellow Pentaxians, I have a question that bothers me for some time now: is the WR capability of Pentax K-30 (or other WR capable Pentax camera body for that matter) reduced while the internal flash is popped up? There's not a single word about this issue in the users manual. Thank you

I dont believe so, but I think you should start a separate thread about that.

When it's raining, flash is of little use, though!
