The K-30 will definitely be a big upgrade over both of those. It's close to the K-5 as it is!

Here's the B&H page with all the kits:

And the Adorama page (they don't have pictures yet):

Ugh...want to do this so bad, but unsure because there's no mention of a battery grip.

Adam, can you please confirm if these B&H 18-55mm kits are WR versions or not? They are listed as WR but shown with DA-Ls.

Thanks.

They are not WR. I just called B&H advising them of the mistake in the listing.

The only WR lens bundled with the K-30 right now (in the US) is the 18-135mm:

Well, then why did I get this response when chatting with "Yossi" at B&H today?

"yes, the 18-55mm kit lenses are all the WR version, I am sorry the stock photos we have do not state WR on the lens, once we receive an updated image from Pentax we will change it"

He was wrong- I talked to someone higher up. I would post this in our ask BH forum to be sure their site gets updated ASAP, though.

I guess the white DAL 18-55 is discontinued, as the pictures show a black lens on the white body. I liked how the white lens matched the K-x and K-r.

Battery Grip?

This looks like a nice unit, but I really have to have a battery grip for my next camera. Like others have said I do not see any indication that you can use a battery grip with this.

Just got an update from B&H stating that this kit does have WR lenses (the normal 18-55mm one doesn't):

Pentax K30 Digital Camera with 18-55mm and 50-200mm Lens Kit

Good news Adam, thanks, but so confusing. They need to change the picture on this kit, and the listing on the other (it still lists 18-55mm WR).
