This camera looks great and now leaves me with a dilemma (which many may have, K5 or K30). For me features which may push me to upgrade are better ISO performance, weather sealed & cable shutter release. Now it looks like the first two are a done deal but does the K30 supported a cable shutter release or does it rely on IR?

Also does the K5 display a countdown/clock in bulb mode (I enviously look at a friends Cannon when he shoots LE photos while I struggle with an IR and stopwatch on my phone :-(
If so I'm hoping (and assume likely) that the K30 will also provide this feature.

so do you know how the K5 currently operates in bulb mode? Do you get a clock/timer when using cable release in this mode?

Unfortunately, there's no timer in the K-5 in bulb mode. I cannot understand why this feature was never added to Pentax DSLRs, I really hope it will come with the new cameras.

This could be a deciding factor if its included in the K-30 then. I'll have to wait & see when the detailed reviews come out :-)
