Yes, and, not counting the noise, a "rapid-fire" camera also serves a remotely similar purpose to a machine gun: By that, I mean there is no need to be very precise when your "modern piece of technology" can take so many shots in such a short period of time.
It's not like in the old days, when I had to take
a precisely timed shot and just hope I was successful.

I'm only guessing, but the hard countertop on which the K-30 is resting may be magnifying the sound a little. The noise may be even more noticeable since that room may be composed entirely of hard surfaces, with nothing to muffle the sound. The K-30 may be just
a tiny bit quieter when held in our hands, especially outdoors. I am only guessing about this, of course. For all I know, the K-30 may be relatively noisy in all settings.

Your K-5 is definitely quiet! I wonder if the microphone in the camera that filmed your video had any affect the sound. Or is that how quiet the K-5 is to your own ears also?
It would be interesting to know how your K-5 sounds if you were to set it on a hard countertop in a room that has a bit of an echo. You wouldn't have to film it. You could just try it and tell us what you think.
