Pentax K-30 - speed and buffer info

http://www.pentax.ru/catalogue/product/folder/1284092142288909/qm-about-eq-tech.htm

Pentax Russia has another specs about speed and buffer of K-30

HI: 6 fps till 176 images(JPEG ***), 21 image (RAW)
LO: 3 fps till the card full (JPEG ***)

Is it mistake? Or it's real...

Yes. It's interesting... Different firmwares for different countries?

Most reviewers quote the numbers from the US site so it's more likely to go that way...

Curious, I see russian 3 star for JPG - K20D has 4 star as highest quality so maybe that explains some extra jpg but the buffer for raw is too different.

I suspect they're wrong, but I hope not!

I tried asking Richard Butler to correct the info on the K-30 preview, but he didn't, continually showing their lack of knowledge in all things Pentax. The K-5 of course had it's buffer increased in the first firmware updated to do 21 RAW, but the K-30 preview states 8.

"This slower frame rate also allows the K-30 to offer slightly longer bursts of shots than the K-5; capturing up to of 30 JPEGs or 8 Raw files (which slightly edges the K-5's 26 JPEG/8 Raws)."

Pentax.jp has no any info about buffer. Only HI and LOW speed - 6 and 3 fps.

Not new, since the first showing of the K-5 in the brochure at photokina in germany was also incorrect and stated 15 RAW in buffer with hi-speed. Pentax Japan stated at the time that it was just 8 RAW and it turned out after new firmware to be 24.

No, why would they. After all people don't make choices based on early information mostly. Most people don't take so many pictures (as I do) so buffer is of no relevance.

Continuous-Shooting Video

The following nine-second video shows the continuous-shooting speed of the K-30, including when it starts to slow down.

P.S. I don't know if shooting without the lens on is a fair way to judge the K-30's shutter sound or not, but those of you with a K-r and/or a K-5 might be able to make a rough comparison.

13 to 14 shots before it slows down it seems.
