Pentax K-30 Shutter Rating

Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know how many shutter actuations is the K-30's shutter rated for?

After 100,000 does it mean the camera stops working? Or does it need a service?

Surely it's the expected minimum number of shots before the mechanism fails, Ubjy!

I don't think it's the maximum!

Hard drives had warranties drop to two years because of MTBF but it doesn't mean one can't still be going a decade later.

I wouldn't worry. Not that long ago there was a used K-5 (I believe) up for sale with 400,000 actuations under its belt. Those 100,000 clicks is the minimum it's designed for.

And even if you continue with 1500 images a week you won't reach 100,000 until July next year

At which point, like the rest of us he'll be buying the FF anyway. (Kidding! Kidding! )

My recollection is that 100,000 was what it was rated for AND warrantied for. Similar to a car that has a 3 year/60,000 km warranty. You pass that, it's out of warranty.

I think at which point I'll consider upgrading to K-3 hopefully?!...

Warranty runs out after 100k clicks...thats a useful piece of info

Thats a real bummer I would have taken at least 6000 picture by now with my 6 month old K30. I purchased it with 5 year extended warranty and am not sure if it mentioned anywhere about this. Currently I have given my K30 for service since am having frequent dead pixels even after pixel mapping it multiple times.
