Doesn't sound so enthusiastic although the score is good. I picture some guy reading from a scripted fact sheet when reading the article

All I could think when I was reading that article is "Maybe I should get an Editor's Choice Nikon D5100". They really seem to be pushing that camera in the review. It seems to overshadow the camera they're actually reviewing.

^ Yeah, a favourable review for the K-30, but a plenty of plugs for its rival.

Keep in mind this is the reviewer who gave the K-5 3 1/2 stars.

This is somebody you would trust?

D5100 -- no WS, no SR, no AF motor; and yet it wins over the K-30.

But it does have Superman underwear on the grip. And an articulating LCD, which to reviewers is worth an extra star.

I have never wanted, nor would I trust an articulating screen not to flake out on me at some point.

63 JPEG@5.2 fps with SanDisk Extreme Pro 95 MB/s card? That's impressive!

The RAW buffer is only 8 shots, though. This nonetheless clearly shows that the camera is UHS-I capable.

Seems like a fair review to me, other than the plugs for the other cameras.
Their pros and cons in the summary are spot-on, IMO.
