Museum low-light shots

Ok so I went to the Museum with my K-30. These shots aren't really intended for analysis but there is some higher ISO stuff in it. Some are edited etc, all resized to 1200px. I was stoked with it, never needed ISO 12800 I forced it just for interests sake. Saw a few folk with their cams taking photos with flash on, glass exhibit cases with the inherent frowns that followed

Museum 2012 - a set on Flickr

Probably the only ones of interest would be:

12,800 DNG that was converted and de-noised with noiseware community edition. I can upload original DNG if people wish. Passable in smaller sizes.

6400 DNG similarly de-noised. Strange combo of lights and natural lighting caused some odd WB stuff.

6400 in-cam JPG, noise reduction what the camera defaults to. Has had levels adjust etc.

They're very encouraging. Nice shots, too.

Pentax's in-camera JPEG noise reduction is pretty good, IMO, as I found using RAW+ on my Q, and your in-camera JPEG bears this out.

You've done well, getting your K30 and taking it out for us to see - it's not in the shops here in Oz yet. The best I've seen is "coming soon".

Thanks for sharing, I'm looking to jump ship from Canon 60D to the new K-30 could you share a DNG at ISO 100 with a bit of shadow areas ??
