ND (Neutral Density) filter. It allows for a slower shutter speed without affecting color.

Yes sir, a heavy ND filter. 30 seconds on the top and bottom one, and 15 seconds on the middle. I went with a quicker shutter on the middle one because the swirls started to wash out over 15 seconds for some reason.

Female cardinal made the cats go bezerk at breakfast this morning. Shot with DA* 50-135 at 135 mm f/4.5, 1/500 iso 250.

That's my exact same set up most of the time, K30, Tamron 17-50, and Metz 52. It was also my first flash. Never knew a flash could make such a difference.

A sunny day at Ham Wall

Taken with the 55-300 in bright conditions, so plenty of dragonflies on the wing at the RSPB's excellent Ham Wall reserve in Somerset, UK.
