Long time I had not post picture or anything else, not to much time to develop but I started again ...

But while trying to use my K-30 last week, i started to have the curtain problem ... the curtain does not really open and sometimes it doesn't really open at all while the hole cycle is done ... and the picture is black ... My local distributor (Costa Rica) told me he must send it to Japan and it is a better idea to send to the USA Ricoh repair service ... any advice ?

Sorry to hear that Jorgario. I had the same problem with my K50 which has the same aperture control lever as your K30. Sent mine in for repair to Precision Camera - which is Ricoh/Pentax's official repair company.
Ricoh Imaging Americas Corporation - Service & Repair
There's a repair form to fill and they will tell you the address to send your camera.

My pictures were coming out extremely underexposed or just black because of aperture lever failure.
They have replaced the Diaphragm Control Block assembly which controls the aperture lever that malfunctioned.
Hope you get your K30 fixed and back to shooting. Goodluck

Thanks for the advice Rick, I've heard the repair cost is around 200 US$ ?
