Thor Sanchez, is the image nr2, with the boy looking roight at the camera without any post processing? I'm surprised with the great amount of blur you got from the kit lens..

The 18-55 WR lens that i have has nice bokeh. People often rubbish kit lenses as if theyre not capable of taking a decent photo but theyre far from crap imo. The above photo looks like its had some PS help though, but still..

Full disclosure... yes, I did a bit of post-processing. It just looked right with that picture.

Took this one last week. A winter afternoon on the Thames. Used the 18-55mm WR lens and HDR mode

When looking for my first DSLR people would tell me your camera is only as good as the photographer. Its true people put down a lens or talk trash about a brand because on papper it does not look good. Give that camera to a good or great photographer and you will get some good photos. The Camera and lens are just a tool. Anyone watch DigitalRev on Youtube they are the Top Gear of the camera world. They brought pro photographers on the show and gave them kid cameras like like a toy storie camera. The pros can take a good photo even with basic junk cameras.

That might be off topic sorry. The photos people are posting really show that these Pentax cameras can play with the big boys. I love seeing what you guys are shooting and with what lens.

Wow...OK...you just made me look up "Pasayten" on the googles...I have definitely added the Pasayten Wilderness to my list of places I'm going to visit on my road trip to the West Coast and Pacific Northwest this coming fall. I need to see MOUNTAINS like these! Absolutely beautiful. Great shots!

Great shots, Kyle! I can't wait to take my 55-300 out in the wild.

Until then, one indoor shot at ISO 10,000:

Was Australia day here yesterday so we celebrated it how we do, by getting together with friends and having a few drinks and BBQ outside. The wettest couple January days in history for my town still didn't stop us.
