I have been in the Ukrainian Carpathians near Lviv - these mountains are beautiful! Your previous picture so reminded of those wonderful days! Thank you! Good luck!

ANZAC public holiday here in Australia today where we remember those who have served and lost their lives fighting in wars for Australia (and New Zealand). I work shift work so was not able to make it to the dawn service. But as I left work I saw the most magnificent big bright moon and thought I would go down to the war memorial and see if I could get some decent night time shots.

As I was shooting I looked up and saw the Southern Cross in the sky directly above the memorial. I thought that this would be a real fitting addition to the shot.

All shot with Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 except the backlit one is an FA77.

Thanks, first time shooting in such low light, just had to show the comparison at ISO 10 000. I guess I should have gone with NR at strongest setting and fine sharp, to get a better result out of the camera, but on the other hand such shots are most probably better handled in RAW and good PP software...

You'll have to thank nature for that, not me.

Yesterday at 1600m altitude...

... and just above sea level:

Saw this little bird today. Taken with the Sigma 70-200mm EX APO. I missed focus slightly but im new to taking shots of birds so with more practice i will improve.
