I feel like everyone's pictures look better than mine. I really need some new glass. This 18-55mm WR lens appears to be quite inferior.

Not for any of the shots above. For me, anything slower than 1/4sec is pushing it handheld, but i think all those were faster than that.

I was using spot (or center-weighted) metering, and TAv, so I can control both shutter speed and aperture.

First posting -- Sierra sunset

We just took our first trip with the K-30 -- after almost a thousand pictures, I am delighted with this camera. Anyway, here is my first attempt to post:



The image above was originally 7 meg but was reduced to 78k for a blog posting, so the quality may have suffered. The color is almost exactly right, believe it or not -- it was a garish sunset in the Eastern Sierra, just north and east of Yosemite.
