Pentax K-30 + 18-55mm DA WR. Hate and love this lens at the same time*.

Last weekend's experiment ended up as desktop picture on my PC:

Drunken (not proud about that) experiment at night. Not much to look at, but still:

This summer in my hometown. I had K-30 only for few days and was running around happy like a child with a new toy car.

Just another experiment after few days with a camera:

Some wooden statue of Palemonas, legendary ancestor of ancient Lithuania dukes, near Seredžius church.

Juniper valley near my home town:

*Hate this lens can be used only stopped down to f8. It is dark enough and you have to stop down even more. But after I was caught in a sudden rainfall this summer without any cover, I had no stress at all. It such a freedom not to care about rain!

I watched news about wildfire at Blue Mountains, is it near your home?.

Very nice moon photo. I've taken similar photos with my 300mm so I am assuming you cropped this image. That or the moon is a LOT closer to Spain than Lake Superior!

Yup. Nearest is a few km away, but so far has been heading in the other direction, and it's status is less terribly worrying than it had been.

This poor cicada got stuck on its way out. I tried to help it, but I think it was too far gone.

What do you do when you have to shoot against a misty drab sky when your camera has a red-stained sensor?

Beat the ever loving tar out of it in post.

HDR'ed, Topazed, AND Ortonized.

While I like the photo - to be honest I had to look twice to make sure it was a 'real' scene and not an extremely well photographed miniature. The slight over saturation of the red roofs and nearly identical shade on the picnic tables for all the world look like it came from the artist's same paint bottle.

This is the 'red-stained' as in 'red pencil eraser' camera? If so, you have done some very nice post-processing work.

Can you elaborate on 'red-stained' as in 'red pencil eraser, did he sweat blood trying to clean it, spill ketchup on it, or is this some jargon I'm not aware of?

Thanks.
