Pentax-M 200mm, stopped down a bit. The original came out nice, but trying to pull details from the birds in post was almost painful. Not sure how much I like this.

Well I'll play, let me share my favorites, maybe cross post or something, but here we go. BTW very nice photos I've seen in this thread so far.

PS I am a newbie not only to Pentax, but to the whole DSLR thing.

Welcome Disneybride, I am also new at the DSLR thing, but been shooting with a P&S camera that allowed manual modes for quite a while, and this is a whole new game. Love my K-30 so far.

Considering you are a newbie, I love that 1st, 4th and 5th photograph's. The others are good too, but these are the ones grabbed my attention. Lovely.

Have fun, I will this Saturday at my cousins wedding, hopping I get a few nice moments "IN" focus from it, since I am now experimenting with the vintage manual lenses.

These were all taken with a
Pentax-A 50mm 1:2
It can be a bit soft BUT it cost me $25 shipped and is allowing me to learn to
Shoot manual. I cannot wait to get more vintage glass!!! They are killer!!!

Check my signature. Those are the lenses I am working with, mostly the 50mm 1.4, but I am using them all and whenever I go out, I will take the camera and one of them to get used to what the different focal ranges can do for me. It's been such a fun month and haven't been outside that much because it's cold where I live right now, can't wait for the colors of spring to start popping!

ohhh and a couple of more shots, just so I can say I was doing what the thread is for! =)
