Up! for the K30.
Other than the lack of self timer and IR release of exposure bracketing, I think this is the definitive entry level camera.
(getting a wired remote soon to be able to release the exp bracketing remotely)

A Nikon, Canon, and Pentax all went to a party.....

Guess which one captured this?

(not implying the other two are bad, just that I LOVE mine!)

not a blink of buyers remorse at all!

BTW pinholecam... that second pic is absolutely a wall hanger.

To that, in terms of loving old lenses, I was at my cousins wedding, didn't want to get on the way of the canon bearing photographer but still from where I sat get some shots with the unfriendly Manuals (been with me for 2 weeks) and nailed some, and missed some. Still, no flash, just ambient light and these are my favorites from the day.

With the Tak 135mm f/3.5

Tak 50mm f/1.4

135mm f/3.5

135mm

50mm 1.4

50mm

This is my pick for runner up right here.
50mm 1.4

Definitely my favorite shot of the day and night for me. The light, the expression, this was a little dance he did before going in for the garter (<~~~ did i said that right? the little ribbon/strip on the brides leg)
50mm 1.4

More to come. Or just check em all by clicking on the picture and going through my Flicker set for them.

Thanks. And yeah, this was a nice exercise, I would imagine that for this type of photography a speed-light would be a difference maker.

I got my 1.4, 55 1.8 and 135 3.5 locally for 100 buckaroos. The guy was left with them as collateral for a loan, he just wanted his money back.

Funny thing is that I posted them on Flickr and then share on Facebook and remarked to my cousin, "This is for you to have fun until the more prepared photographer is able to give you hers" They are still giving them "likes" and commenting on the pictures. My family, all the bride and grooms friends. I hope that ms canon get's a little bit of attention with her advantage of field of view and speed-light and what not.
