I like that one! That's why - here are some shots from my last concert-shoot.
High ISO, aweful light, fast moving subjects.
All pictures taken with kit 18-135 and ISO 6400.
I was sweating like hell and had a great time!

Selection of photos taken off the coast of New Zealand. All taken with the 18-135mm kit lens, but I have ordered the 50-500mm OS Sigma lens which will be here in a few weeks. Looking forward to the extra zoom and not relying on heavy cropping!

Amazing shots, and with the 18-135? I had replaced my Tamron 28-75 with the 18-135 (I wanted the zoom range, AF and WR, and I am on tight budget hence the replacement), but so far I was a bit disappointed. I hope when I learn to use the lens, I can make such beautiful shots!

I really, really don't like bird photos, but I like these two. I wonder what a different crop to the first one would look like getting all of the reflection in the frame? Maybe even into a wider format, even up to 16:9?

I agree - would have been a beaut if I managed to include the whole reflection. I haven't cropped the bottom of the reflection, it was just such a fast reflex shot that it was horribly framed. I'm surprised that the camera managed to focus so quickly, it was taken as the albatross was flying past the boat and I was already fully zoomed in so had no time to adjust.

I just got my K-30 yesterday. There are some great shots here and I hope I can one day post something as beautiful as what I have seen in this thread. Here are some of my first pictures as I start climbing the learning curve.
