My friends were married last night on the Chena River in Fairbanks at sunset (2:30pm) and asked me to shoot for them. We got there with just enough light left...

Orion's nebula

Had another chance to test the O-GPS1 Astrotracer function with my K-30. This is a stack of six 40 s exposures in a light polluted sky (50 km west of Montreal, Canada). The tracking is not perfect as seen by the elongated star images but not bad at all. The precision of the electronic compass is really the wild card here I think.

I used an old smc PENTAX-A 135 1:2.8 lens at f/4.0, iso 1600

My playing around with my two favorite pets trying not to use the flash with low light and understand the settings on the camera.

Some that have ended up in the recent POTW threads. I set up an Oak log for a bird feeder, most of the regular visitors will let me get really close, these are with a Makinon 135mm at around 12-14 feet.

The beauty of the Pentax K30 and K50 is it's ability to recover a photo. I hope you don't mind that I ran this trough a very simple curves adj.
