It's been a while, but this winter is kinda brutal. Keeping up with the ice theme up on this page.

My first post in the K-30 thread, I bought this camera used with street shoot in mind and this is the first time I used it for such purpose

And surprisingly, it seems to be continuing the theme from BigJPR's post from above somehow...

I'm not sure I have the right to call our weather brutal but I sure am tired of the cold and white stuff.

OK more cold weather shots. Sorry but that's all I could get that day...

Blue Jay on my bird feeder, snowflake on his head and sleet falling in the background

Mailboxes around the corner

Red Bellied Woodpecker. More sleet falling, and on his head and beak, sitting in snow... yeah I was miserable...

I wish I could have gotten a head peeking out of the tent. But I didn't knock the door and wasn't about to

Love your photo and the tonality of the greys. Poor guy with suitcase out and all.

Tell me about it. We still have snow from the storm in the photograph, and that was on the 2nd!!!!

Thanks! I am getting better at them moments. I was lucky that this dude was creeping behind me on this trail and I shot 1 frame where it was just the tent, he passed by and I was going to keep on, but then I saw the frame and 1 more click and it was over. I got to get better at getting all I want in a frame, this was heavily cropped, still I am glad it has gotten the attention here, in flickr and on the book.

Thanks! feel free to do that. How a song can become a classic without anybody knowing/listening to it. Feel free my friend, I always do the same with photographs that intrigue me.

BTW this is the other shot I got from the day I saw the tent on the snow storm. Since then I was able to speak to the person inside the tent as I was curious on the story that got him where he is at today. I have 2 images in a set on Flickr with another one coming tonight, but I already put on the description of the set his story. Pardon the grammar, but bear with it and you may be amazed how much some people through on our own backyards. This is the second of the images of the tent.
