K-30 with Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, with some LR. Settings at f-stop 5.6, ISO 100, Shutter speed 1/100

Here's another one, with the K 135mm f/2.5, also with some LR. A little harder to nail focus with a near 40 year old manual lens, especially with the kid running at you.

Taken with kit lenses, either DAL 55-300 or DAL 18-55

First one was still taken in automatic mode, hence the colors...
Second one taken in Av as RAW, with a little pp in Silkypics, the software that came with the camera.
Third one, the inevitable moon, cropped and edited.

How does Auto mode affect the colours?

Colors in auto/scn mode

In auto and in most of the scn modes colors are preset to "bright" which leads to candy colors. Meanwhile I mostly shoot in user mode. I set the colors to "natural" in both user modes.

Here´s two more examples, both taken in scn mode "sports" (I guess it´s called "sports" since my camera settings are in German). Both taken in Boston last summer Arizona at Red Sox in Fenway. I was not too familiar with the camera back then so I chose that mode. Way too much red imo, no pp editing...

Thanks! Andromeda is huge, the size of 5 full moon lengthwise so a 200 mm lens captures it well. I took the 5 shots and stacked them with deep sky stacker and then removed the little sky gradient the resulting image had with iris software. Finished pp with pse11 and topaz adjust and denoise.
Excellent job! Thank you for sharing. Did you take these from Montreal?

Thanks! No I was about 100 km north of Montreal so the southern part of the sky showed definite signs of light pollution.
