This was taken in Cape York, Far North Queensland, Australia with the K-30 and Sigma 18-35mm F1.8. So many stars! ISO 3200, F1.8, 23mm, 30 secs

This was taken with the Sigma 10-20 F/3.5, manual mode, and 25 seconds of exposure at F14, ISO 200, the "changing colors" fountain is in one of the town's squares in Modena, Italy.

It was the new moon last night so I took advantage of living in a remote part of Australia with no light pollution. The milky way was clearly visible to the naked eye (although not to the colours that the camera saw). Crazy how many stars could be seen. It was a cloudless, calm evening. Perfect! K-30 with Sigma 18-35mm at 18mm, F1.8, ISO 3200, 25 secs. The photo has been compressed a bit to get under the size limit so its lost a bit of clarity, but you get the idea

A great pic! Dark sky, nice colours, no CA, no coma... The lens seems quite capable for a zoom! Did you consider getting the o-gps1? Imagine this frame with 3 min exposure...

Clear skies!

Yes the Sigma 18-35mm is a fantastic piece of glass. Superb optics and very fast. Id love to try the o-gps, especially now I live in an area with very little light pollution.

My favorite combination for astronomy: astrotracer + smc Pentax-A 50 mm F1.4.
'
Pano of 2 images, each image is a stack of 20 X 50s iso 800. I really like how that lens work on APS-C. Here it's opened at f/1.6 and the stars still look sharp!

thanks! If I had a 18-35 mm F1.8, I think it would become my favorite combination with the astrotracer!

K-30 attached to a 170-500 DG (First field test of the lens since I got it):

Still busy working through the images from the field test, but am impressed with the sharpness of the lens, and IQ even at 500.

Here's a few shots I took in the hills nearby my house, unfortunately the river is a bit dry in this season, I'll get back in october to get the same shots and see the difference.
K30, Sigma 10-20 F/3.5 HSM, ISO 100, F14, 25 Sec, polarizer filter on (except for the bridge one which I screwed because I left the aperture to 3.5 by accident...)
