I like red, grin. FYI, I drive a bright cherry red Ford Focus 2007 SES. It's really not a sports car. Just looks like one. The innards aren't quite there. The outside is nice though. Gets me a lot of attention that car. Personally I'd have preferred a dark cherry metallic red but they didn't make one in that variant and actually painting it that color was a bit cost prohibitive. I actually like green best of all though.

Do you know how much shipping would be to the US?

FOC for now... whatever you see is whatever you need to pay, just convert to USD from SGD No shipping cost to anywhere. But some countries might need to pay import tax, not the US I think...

As to the SG webstore, you can trust them better than trust me They are directly from our local Pentax distributor.

I'm going to have to keep that site in mind. I expect I wouldn't have a warranty in the US, but with how much cheaper the camera is there, it's probably worth the risk. Too bad they don't have the white in body-only. I just finished boxing up my white K-x a few minutes ago to ship to the new owner, so I am currently without a Pentax camera, and I'm still about $200 short of the $900 price of the White K-x 18-55mm kit.

Do you know if I would have to send the camera to Singapore if it needed warranty work?

Is pentaxwebstore.sg legit?

I ask this because:
-the link at the bottom if the page do not work (terms and condition, contact, etc...)
-the domain was created on the 22nd of May 2012
-the prices are very low
-on the Pentax global site there is no mention of a Singapore office
Does anyone have a solid word about it?

Luca

I think its great that Pentax Singapore offers so many variations, like the K-30 + 40XS lens as a package.

I checked a couple of the lenses, and they're actually priced higher than in the US.

But either way, If you shop with a major credit card, you should be protected.

I guess you still don't trust my words

Actually it wasn't new. They were there last year and the year before. But somehow they closed it for a while, and now changed to a new name and new look. Some parts haven't finished yet. That's all I know. One thing for sure, don't worry about what you buy from there. I bought all my Pentax stuff from them (of course directly from their office) in the past 3 year...

Sorry Frank, I just needed to be sure.

Still, for a person not living in Singapore and not knowing that place first hand, it's hard to buy in some place when you don't even get an email address or a phone number.

I just noticed that the white and blue K-30's on the Singapore site are still in pre-order status.
