Phase Detect AF Tracking Test

Apologies for multiple threads, but thought this best on its own.

I've done some video footage (Shot through the viewfinder) of the tracking functionality in PDAF mode.

The light was a bit dim so the photos themselves were in focus, but suffering from a bit of motion blur. Hope to try it out in anger soon!

I don't think your anger will have much impact unless you toss the camera or something unthinkable like that. Other than that, thanks for posting the test as we are all looking for AF facts on the new body.

A higher iso than the 200 you used would enable all the shutter speed you need in that same light, say 800-1600?

what focal length was used..
seems shoot at wide angle, the DOF is pretty deep.
the more shallow the DOF is, the more challege this kind test is.

Hey guys

I'm in London shooting today so if I find a good subject I shall try higher higher shutter speeds, and higher focal length, so see what affect this has.
