I ordered a black one this weekend. UPS says it should be here tomorrow!
My first film camera that I owned (I used my dad's Canon SLR until then) was a P30t, and now I'll have a K-30.

Don't think I have posted in this thread so I had better say 'Me'. mines balck with the 18-55 and 50-200 WR lenses. They may be a bit soft but I'm not made of money.

Have had mine for several months

I purchased mine in October as a kit with the 18-55 mm lens. My previous SLR was a K1000, which hadn't seen much use in the last 15 years or so. I was using mostly point and shoots until I found a DSLR that was affordable for the features I wanted. I shoot mostly outdoor scenes and wanted something rugged and small enough to take on the trail and could handle adverse weather as well. The K5 at the time was a little beyond what I wanted to spend, so when the K30 came along, I jumped on it. I am most happy so far. The color saturation and rendition are excellent, and the light metering and AF have been good. I'm still learning the menu and playing with settings to see what this thing will do., but usually leave it on AV so I have control of depth of field. I still have several manual lenses which I have tried, but was disappointed in the results. Was able to manually focus and set the aperture manually, but the photos looked washed out. Might be technique? Anyway, I will be purchasing the DA 18-135mm lens next month for a walk around lens. A macro lens will come next. Photography is fun again!

thanks!
disneybride,

I live in Vancouver, Canada.
I got my K-01 from a chain called London Drugs. I have shopped with them for years, and always had great service, selection and pricing.
They matched an out of stock price listing from Ontario.($269.00 CDN body and 40mm pancake).
Price on London Drugs shelf was $419.00CDN.
I got the last one in the store I went to, and the other location I frequent is also sold out.

Sorry to hijack this thread folks.

Well at least I am not as jealous of the price as I was when you posted it earlier at $169 CDN But that is still a very very good price.
