I returned my k01 today after a few days of ownership the shutter went Waco vibrating when I turned it off it stopped but if I gentle shook it it sounded like something was loose inside. I decided on getting a blue k30 through amazon I'm getting it on Saturday from the start that's the one I wanted to me the viewfinder is something that is really needed in a camera what the k01 lacked I'm excited love this forum

I finally got mine in April, black body with the 18-135mm WR lens. Like some others here it's my first DSLR. Like it a lot, still getting used to it, very happy with the weather sealing. The nearest Pentax dealer is about 2500 miles away as the albatross flies, so I'm hoping everything stays copacetic.

I received my K-30 on June 12, 2013. Although it has only been one day I received it I can safely say that it's been a very happy one day of ownership!

I've had my K-30 (coming from a K-X and before that a film Contax 139) for around 6 months and I quite love the little beastie. With all the K-50 talk, I've been looking again at the design of the K-30...and yup, I still like it. The only thing I don't like, never really have and won't (and I think it's the main design flaw if there is one) is the bandaid rubber grip on the left. Just doesn't match and looks a tad discombobulated. If only it had the same material as the main grip. It's a very small complain however (and I guess you could cover it with some matte black tape!)

Since you're obsessing over it, just get another one. You know it will drive you crazy until you do, And the price of a K-30 body is getting lower!

Buy her one for her own use. I got one for myself and bought one for my son.

Set auto-focus to one center point and set it to single focusing, not continuous. Many focusing points may result that camera will focus to some guys you don't want. So it is better to have one point fixed.
