Picked mine up from London Drugs in Surrey, BC yesterday. They were the first I could find to have it locally. Opted for the body only in black as I have lots of lenses. Might look at another 18-135 for it but for now will work with what I have. Ran it through focus tests with most of my lenses and found very little front and back focus. It sure locks focus solidly with very little searching. Even worked well with my 50-135 that is quite sluggish when first used.

So far so good and I will post some images as soon as I can.

Add one more. Seems to be a decent camera but needs good lenses.
The only lens I have that will keep up with the sensor is a converted Contax 50mm F1.4.

Have a Sigma 17-70 and its decent sometimes, but not at that super crisp level like the Contax lens.

I thought it was obvious. The sad face is because it sounds like his 50-135mm is on its way out. You shouldn't have to warm a lens up before it works well, and I believe that's one of the tell-tale signs of SDM death.

Well, I guess that even though it wasn't obvious to mee, it was still obvious to me.

Just waiting to see if the K5 price will come down after the replacement is announced. Still debating over a K5 or the K30. Probably will buy one or the other before the end of this year. We know how well the K5 is holding up over the years, the unknown is how the K30 will do
+1 for me. And, additionally, I believe I would like to see what the K-3 (or whatever) will be, just to be able to gauge the "market".

Still impatiently waiting on the k30 with the 18-135mm wr lens that i ordered July 4th through this site from B&H.
A few months ago I ordered the k01 sight unseen through a local retailer in this town of Portland, Oregon. Checked
on the order status 2 weeks later, but never heard back from them. Seems to require some determination to buy Pentax.
Are there more of you waiting over 2 weeks?

I've only been waiting 8 days, seems like a month. I got exited when Adam reported it was in stock and I saw it on the B@H site, then it quickly went back to pre-order status.

Yes, it is Doc. What the Japanese call Crystal (for these cameras) is glossy, and Silky is matte. Even is English I keep calling mine Silky orange .
