just got a used k30, well hardly used as its only showing 1755 as the file number and it looks factory fresh, along with a da*16-50 and da* 50-135 (both used but you could never tell). traded an olympus om-d to get the pentax gear.

nice to be back to pentax, sad I sold my *Ist D many years ago
Both those lenses have the old SDM focusing motor design (Pentax changed the design this year)?! Beware in that case! Optically, they're just great!

According to B&H, only a couple of pre-orders were shipped out to PF members. I hope the K-30 is in fact more popular than that! Post here if you've got one
Got it and satisfied!

I have the DA*16-50/2.8 since 2008 and I bought the DA* 50-135/2.8 second hand last November and I just bought the DA*200/2.8 from a a fellow Pentaxian last Friday to use on portraiture on Saturday. Great combo of lenses.

Just pulled the trigger on Hunts blowout pricing - 499 for the black K30 with 18-55 WR lens and free ground shipping. Just too good to pass up.

That's just a ridiculous price. I got mine for 500 euros and I thought it was a steal... if you paid 499 dollars I don't know which word to use.

In the hope it makes you feel better, when I was in Europe I found most things sold for about an equivalent amount of Euros or pounds compared to the $. It was the exchange rate that killed me. By the time you bought in US, paid the shipping and VAT I doubt you would come out ahead.

I just received it today. I'm quite happy with it, especially at the $499 shipped price point.

Yep, you are smarter than me... I sold my K-r which I regret now as it would be a great back up camera.

Just bought my K-30 last night! It should be here thursday. I'm upgrading from my K-r. Still deciding on whether to keep it or sell it.

Keep it as a backup body as they share the same battery and can use the AA battery adapter too
