The mirror sound was untouched, it is pretty quiet.
Thanks. That's great to know!

P.S. I wasn't implying that the audio of the mirror noise was "touched." I just meant that most noises sound different in different environments.

Wait what? How do you control aperture with the DA*16-50? And why did you select the 16-50 to shoot with, out of curiousity?
You can use an adaptor with a mechanical aperture ring to use Pentax glass with any mirrorless camera, and maintain aperture control. Used a Novoflex K-NEX adaptor. I used the 16-50 F2.8 since I wanted to use Pentax glass for this video, and needed a decent wide angle since we were in such a small boat.

Nice hands on review.

I purchased my k5 from TCS in November, but if I had to choose today it would be a hard call. While I really dig my K5, but I like the smaller body and AA battery option of the k-30.

Very informative review in a comfortable style... I usually don't sit through lengthy reviews from start to finish.. but I did for this one.

Yeah, I'd have a hard time choosing now, especially with the pricing so close. I like the option for a battery grip on the K-5, but otherwise the K-30 is comparable and has better live view AF and video modes.

Thanks for watching!

I love The Camera Store reviews...funny, light hearted, practical and this one video explained the zone focusing which I did not know about.

This review tested the camera in a good scenario - I went kayaking with my K7 and 18-55wr around my neck this weekend and no-one could believe I wasn't worried about the soaking it was taking. Even in a stable kayak with a gentle river, it's impossible to stay dry.

How much do you think the AF performance that he rates so highly in the video is down to the lens rather than the camera body??? I definitely would have liked a bit more tele length on my lens... so I'm considering the 18-135....

The 18-135 focuses fast even on K20D
