The review said the K-30 stands out from it's "cheap" plastic... He obviously never held a Rebal or even a Nikon D3/5xxx before. Is it possibly true that this guy holding a K-30 is the first entry/mid-level SLR he's ever touched?

If you close your eyes and pick up 100 different DSLRs, though, I'd bet dollars to donuts you'd know the K-30 immediately by its feel. Its polycarbonate body is a mix of rubberized textures and smooth edges, and the whole thing feels somewhat softer and cheaper than most other DSLRs

good to get both negatives and positives on this camera. The ephotozine review was quite nice I think the other one, had some useful points. But I agree with the above poster, the t4i feels like a toy in the hand...

Yes, his comment doesn't make any sense. When I was upgrading from my Olympus e-510, I pre-ordered a Canon t2i and I was all excited to get it. But when it arrived and I actually held it, I was appalled by how cheap my new $900 camera felt and looked. That was the main reason I returned it, and ended up with a K-x.

A much nicer review, albeit lacking in a lot of info. But it doesn't have "wrong" info like the Verge's review.

"Pentax K-30 price: £679 (with 18-55mm kit lens), US price $849.95 (body only) $1,199.95 (with 18-55mm kit lens)"

Price is a bit wrong here.
