Date and time reset at battery change

Hi,

this is playing havoc with my catalogs...is this working as intended? Is the camera defective? Any way to make it stick? I am not liking to have to change the date every time I put the battery in...

Thanksin advance,
TJWest

It looks like you may not have gone through the 'Initial Settings' section of the K-30 Manual (p56-58).

You need to go to the setup menu > date adjustment to set your local hometown date and time. The camera should remember date and time once that is done.
