Is color that important?

I ened up with black because I wanted the better lens (18-135 WR) Would have gotten a color but also feelwhen taking photos no one will care what color the body was if the pic is garbage. So opted for better equipment.

I like the blue, but black is my favourite.

I know this is an old thread, but I stumbled into it through the referrer page of my Flickr stream. I can't help but comment...

I literally own that black K-30 with the DA40XS on the first page. LOL! Nice to see my photo here in this thread.

I'm hoping by then they'll have released the crystal red to the USA or maybe that I can buy one used from someone who is upgrading by then. I really love that color. But if not likely I'll just get black.
You could get one from this site in Singapore. They are no longer the distributor for Pentax, but they brought in Japan only colours at a great price.

DSLR Cameras

International buyers get to deduct 7% off the price.

I bought one for my son too, the Crystal Black version or Piano Black.

Which color? There can be only one: classic black.

Was curious as to which color K-30 most members are buying or which color they like the best?

Here in the US we are limited to three choices; matte black, glossy blue, and glossy white.

My first thought was that I was definitely going to buy the blue, just because it is a new color that Pentax is offering and just looks really cool and sporty. Then common sense kicked in and I thought about pulling the trigger on a classic black one instead of going bold. After sleeping on that thought, I've decided against black and am now thinking about white. So hard to decided- I like all the colors.

Photos don't belong to me, just showing them as examples because the photographers captured the true colors nicer than the advertisements/stock photos.
the shiney RED is fantastic looking w/ black lenses...... It lis by far my best choice..... 30 dollars more but glad I got it.... gets lots of ooohs and ahhhhas

I got white one with 18-135 WR. My camera dealer was kind enough to change kit lens from black kit with no extra price.

My K-r was white too.

I'm very tempted to pick up the K-30 in blue to get the current deal with the 10-17 fisheye lens!! I might sell the body since I really don't need, but I'm sure I might fall in love with it!
