K-30 colors; which did you buy?

well I got my white one today. while I am happier with the color in person then I thought I would be..I still really really really want the yellow LOL

Given what I've just spent a the vet and dentist I'm not going to be able to get one till late next year it looks like. I'm hoping by then they'll have released the crystal red to the USA or maybe that I can buy one used from someone who is upgrading by then. I really love that color. But if not likely I'll just get black.

If I could get the White body with WR 18-135 (don't care if lens is white or black) I would be all over it~!

The white body actually looks very sharp with a black lens. I used to have the Pentax K-x which came with a white 18-55mm, and while it looked good with the white lens, I thought that the camera always looked better with a black lens.

I'd love to see a white K-30 with a silver limited, if anyone has that combo and would like to share a pic, I'd love to see it!

For those of you who may not know, but the Pentax K-30 is now available on the Best Buy website. I have not been able to locate one in a store yet and from talking w/a salesperson they don't think they will have any. But, that may change if they get enough sales. I noticed this over the weekend and I checked again this morning. It was the first time I had checked and there wasn't the message that said it was out of stock on line. Just an FYI for all those who may want to order thru them. At least, if you had to return it, you wouldn't have to mail it back. Their extended warranty is high at 2 years (I believe) @ $149.95. I know some people don't like to deal w/BB but they are far more accessible than B&H or Adorama usaually located in any town of size. Anyway, just thought you all would want to know. This may change by the time you read this but as of this morning it was good.

Good to know. You can buy the 2-year Pentax Warranty from anyone, it does not have to be from the same store as the camera itself, but you must do so within 30 days of purchasing the camera. $149.95 is outrageous when you can readily get the real Pentax Extended Warranty for $19.95.

$150 for warranty?! Ouch!

I talked to a BB manager from the camera dept. in-store about Pentax, he told me they only carry them online and don't plan on selling them in-store anytime soon... Target and some other local stores are doing the same thing; they carry Pentax online, but not in store.

The big bummer is that with BB, I pay almost 10% sales tax, so $850+85 for body only, and they wouldn't do any sort of price match with Amazon. Only good thing is free financing.

I just got the blue one last week and I absolutely love this camera. I almost went with the black since the blue cost more at Walmart, but decided I needed a little color and it is eye catching. It's not as flashy as it looks in the pictures. Very happy with my choice.

I really wanted the white one but I also wanted the 18-135 WR and the only good deals on that at the time where with black bodies. I was tempted to spend the additional Euro 200 or so it would have cost me to get a separate body and lens but sadly common sense kicked in and I went for the black one.

It would have looked great with my white 800mm mirror lens, though the same couldn't be said of the photos it would produce :-)
