K-30 Warranty Card?

Hi,
I just received my K-30 (w/ 18-55 kit lens) from Amazon today and can't find any warranty card in the box. Is there supposed to be one included?

I made sure to purchase directly from Amazon and not through one of those third party sellers on Amazon, and Amazon is listed as an authorized dealer.

Anyone else with a K-30 receive a warranty card in the box? What does it look like?

No. Your invoice with its date is the key to accessing warranty service via CRIS in the US.

I would STRONGLY urge you to purchase the $19.95 Two-year extended warranty from Pentax for the K-30.

Thanks! Just wondering if the lack of warranty card meant that the camera was grey market. Good to know about the extended 2 year warranty.

If you bought it directly from Amazon it should not be. Go to Pentax and register it.

Would there be a problem ordering one from a 3rd party on Amazon and then getting the 2 year warranty? Currently the cheapest body only one on Amazon is through "Electronics Basket".

They ask for the invoice to determine if the item is under warranty. <1 year and from an AD are what they looked for on mine when I sent in my Grip (they actually highlighted both on the copy I sent them, which they sent back).

There are no warranty cards in the box , you have to register your product with Pentax and save your proof of purchase . You can purchase the extended warranty card at Adorama or Bh photo for 19.95 but you have to do it within 30 days of your purchase . Go to either web site and search for "Pentax extended warranty" . Also if you are traveling you can copy and send your proof of purchase and serial card to Pentax and they will issue an intenational warranty card . Do not pass up the 20 dollar extended deal ! The extended card also allows one free factory adjustment .
