How's K-30 for metering with manual lenses?

Hi, I'm a K-r user. We all know that Pentax DSLRs can meter manual lenses (K/M) with the green button stopped down. But from practical experience, it's never totally accurate. I'm still trying understand it's metering behaviour. While it's within the ballpark, I do wish it could be accurate without having to do some trial and error. That's the K-r, so how about the K-30? Is there any improvement in this application?

If the exposure with manual lens is a big improvement from the K-r, it will be one of my deciding factor to upgrade

The inaccuracy is down to the focusing screen more than anything, since the K-30 has a similar type of screen that was designed to give the brightest possible image, there isn't much room for improvement in stop down metering. I have heard that changing the focusing screen to a cut down Canon Ee-S screen will significantly improve stop down metering because it is a more linear design. You can get a screen already cut from focusingscreen.com, you'll have to make up your mind about upgrading beforehand, since the K-r and K-30 take different screens.

I have this screen (on my K-5) and I can confirm that metering is perfect now.
Highly recommended.

Thanks for the reply. Now that you mentioned it, I can recall some non linearities in the metering pattern trend. In bright conditions, it overexposes while in low light, it underexposes. The K-30, having a pentaprism and exchangable screens does makes it easier to change to a split focus screen on the fly, which is very appealing to me. The K-r's screen while it's actually removable, it's not an easy task and having a hollow pentamirror, dirt can easily land deep in the mirrors during the process.

The stock screen has a non linearity where it would under expose with large apertures and over expose for smaller apertures:
