Live view metering vs OVF

Hiall,
I'm new to Pentax so maybe I missed something in settings etc...

Just wondering if anyone can confirm that the metering is differerent when using live view...?
With ISO and f/ set, Live view always has a slower shutter speed than OVF!
Tested with different lenses and various modes P, Tv, Av
Camera on table so view never changes

Anyone know why?

Light leakage via the OVF eye-piece? Mask it up and try again.

Thanks, but already tried that. Same result...

Besides, light leakage would make the shutter speed faster not slower.

Basically, with mirror down, metering uses dedicated sensor in optical path. In LV, that sensor, as well as autofocus sensor cannot be used, so what's used is data from image sensor and software interpretation of them. So light metering is totally different between the two and while the results should be close, small discrepancies are to be expected.

Also, I mentioned that LV stops down automatic lenses to about f/4. This means that it actually performs sort of stop down metering, which, again, may introduce discrepancies.
