Just loaded it. Wife's camera, she thinks the AF is quicker. No problems with the installation.

The K-01 recently got an good AF upgrade, so probably this is the same or similar thing. Cool.

I had a double take -- thought at first it said we need a 32 GB SD card. It's a 32 MB SD card that's needed.

Interested to read more firsthand accounts. I just downloaded but won't be able to install until I get home. I was wondering if we'd ever see a firmware update.

I have upgraded to this firmware. Only tried with the DA 18-135 so far...but I don't find a very substantial difference in AF speed (PDAF) after upgrade. This is in comparison with my K-01 upgrade to v1.01 firmware. I will do another test tomorrow with my DA limited lenses.

Edit: CDAF does seem to be a bit faster but I wouldn't say it is very substantial.

Went smoothly here, too early to report any improvements.

Updated my firmware this morning with no problems. Will try it out later and see what, if anything, is different.

Regards

They are serious about the battery being fully charged. Mine was showing 75% full and it wouldn't let me install the update.

Just installed it and CF AF seems snappier with my DA 35 2.4.

Haven't tried it with other lenses.

The rest seems the same, as expected... :P

Penta-forum's users of K-30 don't see any serious difference in performance too.
