HDR Capture Function

Hi. I need a help with understanding the meaning of setup option on HDR Capture menu (p. 149) I assumed that HDR1, HDR2 and HDR3 options are allow to assign three different Exposure Bracket Values (i.e +-2, +-3, +-1) to recall desired range quickly during shooting. But for some reason I wasn't able to set the separate Exposure Bracket Values to HDR1, HDR2 and HDR3 options. The pentax help desk was not able to explain me the meaning/functionality of HDR1, HDR2 and HDR3 options. My firmware was updated to 1.01. I wonder if somebody with original firmware can assign Exposure Bracket Values separately for each HDR1, HDR2 and HDR3 options or point out my perception mistake for HDR function.
Cheers

They're basically three different presets. If you set HDR to auto, it will choose between the three. I don't think there is any further customization you can do (if you want to control the bracketing, shoot in RAW and then build the HDR image yourself in post).

Thank you Adam for quick replay but three pentax presets (HDR1, HDR2 and HDR3) do not explain the presence of "Exposure Bracket Values" option which can be used to enter EV values manually on HDR menu screen. I can enter my EV +- value and K-30 assign it to all three sets (HDR1, HDR2 and HDR3.)
Cheers

HDR1, 2 and 3 is about the strength of the "HDR effect" so to say.

EV settings is the range captured.

So how do I find the strength difference between HDR1 and HDR2 ( or HDR2 and HDR3) for the given EV setting?

Anvh, thank you for informative link.
Does IR explanation imply that if I set EV value on HDR menu to +-1 camera will assign the follow exposure to HDRi's: HDR1 = +- 1/3, HDR2 = +- 2/3, and HDR3 = +- 1 ?

No, the differnce is in the post processing not the bracketing.
The HDR options are presets, i believe the EV values are automaticly selected no idea what the values are but they are the same for all three settings.

update: found the values.
Exposeures are taken with 0, -3 and +3 EV
You can't change those.
