Nice work, the Tamron 90 isn't the best AF lens to use. You had the limiter on, I assume?

Nice Sandhill Cranes shot. I would have left more room in front of the one in front. Still nice flight shots though.

Great shot. Amazing line of sight.

Were you using AF.C ? I would guess so, but interested to hear. I used the Tamron 90mm for sport recently and got better success with AF.C than with AF.S.

Thank you for sharing.

I was using AF.S........seems to lock on very fast. I tried using AF.C on bees and hummingbirds without much success (fast and small). I haven't tried it for the larger birds but I probably should.

Wish I had more time to get it right but when the wind is blowing you around in a kayak it isn't always easy to line up your shot. Sometimes my body is twisted and can't get a good line on the moving subject.

thanks

I've tried that before, good job for shooting in a kayak.

I've tried a few BIF shots with my K 30 but so far I haven't hit the focus all that good on any.

Last time I tried it was in a pirough rather than kayak, not much difference though. Same problem, and it tended to get a little squirrely if I tried moving around much, flat bottom thing tended to wobble around so I didn't try any fast moves...
